We are a dynamic unit with a highly skilled, enthusiastic and educated nursing workforce caring for children and their families requiring increased levels of nursing intervention and monitoring.
We have 21 PICU beds and 15 PHDU beds allocated to children needing ventilation, post-operative care and organ support.
We liaise with all the speciality teams within RMCH and the region providing patient care to:
- Trauma
- Renal
- Surgical
- Oncology
- Neurology
- Metabolic
- Neurosurgical
- Respiratory
- Cardiology
