This is our Long-Term Ventilation, Acquired Brain Injury and Polysomnography (sleep study) unit. We currently have 11 open beds. Our long-term ventilated children are admitted to this unit once medically stable.

Complex discharge planning and training of parents and carers starts on Critical Care and is overseen by our parent educators.

The children and families on this ward stay for long periods of time and we work to empower parents, guardians, and carers to be proficient in leading their child’s care whilst on the unit in preparation for being at home.
