Some children who have been to the Paediatric Emergency Department need a follow-up appointment with a specialty team.
Usually the specialty team will phone you or send you a letter to tell you the date and time of your child’s outpatient appointment. Before you leave the Paediatric Emergency Department, please check that we have your correct phone number and address, so your child does not miss their appointment.
If you have not had a phone call or letter, you can contact the specialty team’s secretary yourself. Secretaries usually work Monday to Friday during normal office hours. They may be busy and not answer the phone but if you leave a voicemail message they will call you back.
