Paediatric Rheumatology

Biography

I have been a Paediatric consultant in a teaching hospital for more than 13 years and have regularly contributed in improving the services within the trust. I have been the governance lead for neonatal department for few months and this has given me enough opportunities to make a positive impact and improve patient care on the neonatal unit at Wythenshawe site, before this I was the divisional QI lead across the 3 sites.

I am also the current divisional lead for NIPE.

I have gained considerable experience in teaching various professionals ranging from undergraduate medical students, postgraduate doctors, nurses and midwives. I have been instrumental in developing a NIPE training tool for midwives in collaboration with Salford University.

I have led on FiCare where I was able to formulate a team to enhance the experience of parents by integrating them in the care of their babies.

I also have special interest in paediatric rheumatology, and I run bimonthly joint clinic along with a paediatric rheumatologist.
