Biography
Professor Qualtrough graduated with honours from Leeds Dental School and was appointed as honorary consultant and senior lecturer at University Dental Hospital Manchester in 1997
She is responsible for developing the postgraduate programme in endodontics and establishing endodontic services, and her clinical commitments include provision of secondary and tertiary endodontic and restorative care.
Alison has lectured and examined extensively abroad and in the UK, and is the provider of more than 50 postgraduate courses and lectures. She has completed over 50 publications in refereed journals.
Professor Qualtrough’s positions include Chair of the Teachers of Endodontology Group, past President of the British Endodontic Society and the British Association of Teachers of Conservative Dentistry. She is the only member of the dental school to have served on the University Board of Governors and to have been awarded a Senior Fellowship of the Faculty of Higher Education.
