Biography

Dr Ahmed graduated from the University of Manchester in 2003 and undertook specialist training in cardiology in the North-West region.

She was appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist at Manchester University Hospitals in 2015, where she specialises in heart failure and cardiac devices. Dr Ahmed is recognised as a global expert in her field and is frequently invited to present at international conferences.

Dr Ahmed is passionate about improving the lives of people with heart failure. She is actively involved in clinical research, which aims to discover new treatments for those with heart failure as well as individuals with pacemakers and defibrillators.
