Dr Atanasov completed Specialty Training in Paediatrics and Neonatology in Sofia Bulgaria between 1990 -1995.
Following that he worked as a Specialist Paediatrician and Neonatologist (Consultant Level) with interest in Paediatric Cardiology in Bulgaria.
From 2010 until 2016 he completed Fellowship Training in PICU, NICU and Paediatric Cardiology at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
Since 2016 he has been appointed as a Consultant Paediatric Cardiologist at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.
