Biography
Dr Higgins trained at the University of Birmingham, qualifying as a doctor in 2006. She undertook obstetric training in hospitals within the North West, alongside completing her PhD in 2015. She became a Consultant Obstetrician at St. Mary’s Hospital in 2022.
Lucy established the START clinic (a research clinic for pregnancy after IVF) and the obstetric urgency clinic at Oxford Road Campus. She conducts and supervises laboratory and clinical research relating to placental dysfunction, stillbirth and IVF. She is part of the RCOG Reproductive Medicine Clinical Studies Group, and a clinical director of the Tommy’s Stillbirth Research Centre.
