Biography

Sara trained at the University of St Andrews before coming to Manchester University for her clinical studies. She graduated in 2000 and after completing house jobs at MRI, spent time in paediatrics and adult medicine for her core training. After a period as a respiratory registrar at the Glenfield Hospital in Leicester Sara developed an interest in Immunology and completed her higher specialist training in Leicester before transferring back to the North West in 2011. Sara starting working at MRI in 2013 initially as a locum then moving into the substantive role. Sara has a keen interest in education and is the departmental educational lead along with the North West region Immunology Training Programme Director. She is currently nearing completion of the PGCE (post grad medical education).
