Biography
Mira has worked as a Consultant Paediatric Otolaryngologist at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital (RMCH) since 2016. She is a member of the European Society of Paediatric Otolaryngology (ESPO), the British Association for Paediatric Otolaryngology (BAPO) and ENT:UK. Her sub-specialisations include the management of drooling and progressive airway obstruction in children with neurodisability, sleep disordered breathing, airway obstruction and mucopolysaccharidosis. Mira has an active research interest and completed a PhD in cancer immunology in 2013. She has authored five book chapters on paediatric ENT and has presented at numerous clinical and scientific meetings. Mira has experience in the design, development and delivery of simulation-based training in paediatric ENT. She is registered with the North West Simulation Education Network as a simulation trainer and has facilitated international simulation sessions. She is an Advanced Paediatric Life Support instructor, is part of the Paediatric National Tracheostomy Safety Project, and is a named champion on the Improving Tracheostomy Care/Global Tracheostomy Collaborative.
