Biography
Qualified from Kings College London in 1981, Professor Seymour served as a Dental Officer in the RAF for 5 years before undertaking an MSc in Periodontology at Guys, London.
He was appointed as a Lecturer in Conservative Dentistry at The London Hospital Medical College in 1991, undertook PhD and was appointed Senior Lecturer in Periodontology and Honorary Consultant in Restorative Dentistry in 2002. He ran the MClinDent in Periodontology at what was then Queen Mary, University of London.
Professor Seymour moved to Manchester in 2012 where he is currently Director of Undergraduate Education and Programme Director of the MSc in Periodontology. Prior to that he was at Barts and The London for over 20 years where he initially taught Conservative Dentistry before returning to his first love of Periodontology. He also undertook a variety of other roles which included: Head of the Centre for DCPs, Senior Clinical Tutor and Senior Tutor for Outreach.
