Biography
Ms D’Souza completed Specialist Registrar training at Manchester Royal Eye hospital and undertook sub-specialist training with St Paul’s eye unit at Liverpool, followed by a medial retina fellowship in Western Eye and Hillingdon hospitals, London. She has over 3 years subspecialist training at Moorfields Eye hospital including medical retina, clinical trials and education, and was actively involved in teaching medical students from UCL and Queen Mary’s, London. She was previously Consultant Ophthalmologist at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Trust, obtaining a Doctorate from the University of Manchester in 2008 for work on “Glycoconjugates of Drusen”. Ms D’Souza has numerous publications, including an invited editorial in peer reviewed journals, and is regularly asked to review articles in ophthalmic and occasionally non-ophthalmic journals.
