Mr Richard Graham
Oral and Maxillofacial SurgeryMr. Graham completed his dental degree in Dundee and medical degree in Aberdeen, followed by basic surgical training in Scotland then Higher Specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgical training in the Northwest of England and has been a Consultant in OMFS in Manchester since 2010. His main interests are in Oral and Maxillofacial Trauma, post traumatic defects, Orthognathic Surgery, bone grafting and oral medicine conditions. Mr Graham is actively involved in teaching, trainee education, assessment and medical writing.
He has previous had fellowships in the USA/Liverpool (craniofacial surgery), India (cleft surgery) and Europe (Holland, Belgium and Germany for orthognathic surgery, Trauma surgery/assessment, implants).
Mr Graham holds the following additional appointments:
External assessor for BDS (UCLan) + Honorary Senior Lecturer, Honorary Lecturer and Trauma Module Lead at Liverpool University, Honorary Senior Lecturer in the Division of Medical Education at Manchester University.
Deputy Lead of SSB in OMFS at RCS Edinburgh, MFDS, MRCS and FRCS (part 1 and 2) examiner for RCS Edinburgh, Departmental Educational Lead, Academic Adviser for year 3 MBChB students (Manchester) and placement supervisor for yrs 3/4/5 MBChB Students (Manchester).
Course co Lead and Faculty for AO Craniomaxillofacial/Maxillofacial Trauma division, Faculty on Basic Surgical Skills, and Training the Trainers courses through RCS Edinburgh
Clinics and operating are performed at North Manchester General Hospital, clinics are performed at Rochdale Infirmary.
