The Manchester Centre for Neonatal Surgery is committed to carrying out pioneering research in order to discover new information that will help the treatment of babies with neonatal surgical conditions around the UK and the rest of the world.
We host our own research studies and also collaborate with other units as part of multi-centred projects.
Current research studies
We are the host centre for the NIHR funded ToSCiN study and the Chief Investigator is one of Consultant Surgeons, Nick Lansdale. Read more
We regularly submit data to the Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH) study group (CDHSG) which is an international consortium of centers that prospectively collect and voluntarily contribute data about liveborn CDH patients they manage. Read more
