The Manchester Heart Centre encompasses both the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery and the Department of Cardiology.
The Manchester Heart Centre has a long history and an exceptional track record of undertaking world class research from commercial trials, large randomised controlled trials and over the last couple of years in house academic studies supported by the British Heart Foundation, European Union and Medical Research Council. Over the past 5 years over 180 peer-reviewed publications have been published form The Manchester Heart Centre. Our portfolio of studies encompasses both the surgical and cardiology studies in both acute/emergency and elective patient groups.
