Our Hospital Board

After leaving University Vicki joined NHS Wales as a Personnel Management Graduate Trainee.  During this time she gained experience across all areas of HR and had the opportunity to gain knowledge and skills working in both an acute teaching hospital and across mental health and community services.

Over the last 25 years Vicki has continued her career within HR in the NHS further developing her experience across all specialisms of employment, in particular organisational change, resourcing, learning and development, organisational development, employee relations, staff communications, performance management, equality and diversity and workforce planning.  She came to Manchester in 2001 to support the delivery of the workforce aspects of the Oxford Road new hospital development and since then has worked as a HR Business Partner, Head of Operational HR and most recently Head of Resourcing.  Vicki’s time in the Trust and the experience and opportunities that she has gained place her in a good position for her new role as Director of HR & OD for Saint Mary’s Hospital.

Vicki is excited to have joined the Hospital leadership team at Saint Mary’s and, as both a HR professional and a mum of two teenage children, she strongly believes in our vision to deliver clinically excellent care, through our skilled and dedicated staff, to all of our patients and their families and is committed to ensuring that the Hospital will always have the right people with the right skills working in the right roles delivering the best possible patient care at all times.
