Biography: Professor Dian Donnai qualified MB.BS from the University of London, Saint Mary’s Hospital first training in General Medicine and Paediatrics in London and Sheffield before training in Clinical Genetics in Manchester. She has held a number of national and international appointments including Consultant Advisor to the Chief Medical Officer (England) and President of the European Society of Human Genetics. Dian’s clinical and research interests have been in genetic service development and in understanding developmental disorders and syndromes. She also has an interest in public engagement in science and genetics and established Nowgen, a centre of expertise in engagement, education and training (www.nowgen.org.uk)
