It may not always be possible to deliver results for all patients via the pan-cancer NGS panel testing route. The GLH network will therefore also offer salvage pathways capable of delivering a “minimum content” of pertinent cancer-specific genetic data.
When to trigger the salvage pathway
- Insufficient material
- Low neoplastic content (10-20%)
- Clinical urgency – to be agreed with laboratory prior to referral
