District Nursing in Manchester Local Care Organisation (MLCO) and Trafford Local Care Organisation (TLCO) is a career like no other – making a difference 365 days a year, 7 days a week & 24 hours a day, placing our patients at the centre of everything we do.
In essence, this is a role that seeks truly compassionate and highly patient focussed individuals with a genuine vocation to work together with our patients to empower self-management of their health conditions, providing treatment, and supporting those on a palliative phase of illness. It’s also about working in harmony with social care, independent and voluntary providers to enhance our patient’s experience and care – a highly rewarding yet critical role which sits you at the very heart of the community.
In a nutshell, it’s about delivering clinical excellence first time, every time, treating people in an environment that is safe and familiar to them, in their own homes or local care settings, and playing a vital role in providing highly effective integrated care.
Whether you’re a newly qualified nurse or from a Community Nursing or Acute Nursing background, a career in community will open doors to countless development opportunities – with routes into specialist services such as wound care, palliative care, bladder and bowel, diabetes and much more. So, join us and you’ll pave the way to a future that’s truly unique for you, and our patients.
