Follow these straightforward steps below!
A. Firstly, it’s important you review all the ‘Essential’ criteria in the Person Specification and determine if you meet the list of qualifications, knowledge, skills, experience, and attributes. If you also meet all or some of the things listed in the ‘Desirable’ section, then even better!
*It’s important to note that in order to apply for a Nursing Assistant or Maternity Support Worker at MFT, you’ll need to have ‘Right to Work in the UK’ status, without restrictions, as these jobs are not eligible for sponsorship, in accordance with UK Visa & Immigration legislation.
B. Start your application on our website by following one of the ‘apply’ buttons throughout these pages. The very first part of the application form presents you with a few questions that will determine if the job is suitable for you and your particular circumstances. These questions will include gaining confirmation from you about your willingness to commit to a programme of study to build up your knowledge to do the job, your ability to work the shifts and hours we need in these jobs along with your ‘Right to Work in the UK’ status, without restrictions.
Your responses to these questions will determine if you’re able to progress further with your application, and as such, we’ve included these questions very early on as we’d hate you to have to complete the full application, only to find you’re not eligible to meet some of the basic employment conditions. This way, by checking you meet the basic employment conditions, you save valuable time before attempting to complete all elements of the application form.
C. After completing all the standard parts of the application form, you’ll come to a section entitled ‘Supporting Statement’ that gives you the opportunity to tell us about yourself and how you feel you match exactly what we’re looking for.
D. In this part of the application, tell us about your skills and experience (work and non-work related).
*Please take time to tailor examples in your ‘Supporting Statement’ to the key skill and experience outlined in the Person Specification document.
As we’ve said elsewhere, this could include your role as a parent or carer and other related jobs you’ve held that has involved providing care or a service to others. You might have done volunteer work too which could also be really relevant. If you think it’s relatable to support your application, include it.
Make sure you sell yourself well and stand out from other applicants. Tell us what really excites you about the job and what you hope to gain from joining MFT.
Important note:
If you’ve applied to us before, please don’t just copy and paste the content from a former application. Please take time to tailor examples in your ‘Supporting Statement’ to the key skills and experience outlined in the Person Specification. This will really help the Hiring Manager understand how closely you match the ‘Essential’ and ‘Desirable’ criteria when they come to create their shortlist.
