Practice Education Facilitator (PEF) Team

The Practice Education Facilitator (PEF) Team is part of the Professional Education and Development Team, which has a wider remit regarding professional education and development; including preceptorship, return to practice, clinical skills and revalidation.

Role of the PEF team

The role of the PEF team is to ensure the provision of high quality learning environments for all pre-registration learners within MFT. We assist in ensuring that every learner receives an outstanding clinical placement experience, which meets both quality assurance standards and regulatory body requirements.

We offer support on educational issues to any learner or member of staff at MFT. This may include:

  • Providing on-site support to learners/staff with educational concerns/queries
  • Information on the completion of learner documentation
  • Support with the failing learner
  • Support with learners requiring reasonable adjustments
  • Information on university curriculums/requirements

For your individual PEF contact details please see your student notice board/folder for your placement area.

Watch our new Vision and Values in action – Together Care Matters

Following the recent launch of our new Vision, Values and Behaviours at MFT, we have developed a short film to help embed these across the organisation:

Everyone Matters           Working Together
Dignity and Care            Open and Honest

These Values are the principles which guide the way we work every day, to ensure our services are the very best they can be for our patients and for our workforce. Thank you to all the staff and patients who kindly agreed to take part in the film and we do hope you enjoy watching.
