Public Governor for Trafford Constituency

As a retired Manchester GP and longstanding resident of Trafford I have acquired a deep knowledge and understanding of healthcare services.

As a former Children and Young Person’s clinical lead for Manchester CCG, the services provided by MFT, particularly those related to children and young people are of keen interest to me.

My support of MFT’s aim to deliver high quality care in Manchester and beyond is key to me in my role as a Governor and I will actively seek assurances from the Trust’s Non-Executive Directors around this when representing the views of members.  Key learning from the experiences of patients and parents will be another source when representing views.

During the Covid-19 pandemic I felt fortunate to work in the citywide vaccination clinics, seeing first-hand, the amazing work of NHS staff across Manchester and the continued support of staff is another key area that I will champion in my role as Governor.
