Dr Gill Hoad-Reddick
Public Governor (Manchester)
Public Governor for Manchester Constituency
Now retired, I trained as a Dentist working in General Practice and the Aboriginal Medical Service before coming to Manchester Dental School where I lectured for 20 years teaching undergraduates, organising admissions, conducting research and for a number of years regularly visited an overseas Dental School in Ghana as an external examiner.
As a former Governor at Wythenshawe Hospital, my experiences were both interesting and rewarding and helped me understand how hospitals work hard to improve services. The positive experiences and skills gain motivated me to stand for election as a Governor of MFT.
The skills developed as a lecturer for Asian Women’s Support Groups around social inclusion and interaction are valuable assets to be utilised as part of my role. As a Governor I would work to ensure that staff support is a key priority of the Trust alongside the views of the wider-general public being considered as part of the Trust’s decision-making processes.
Elected: September 2022 (1st term)
Term of Office: 3 Years – Ending at 2025 Annual Members’ Meeting
