Staff Governor for Nursing and Midwifery

Throughout my extensive nursing career, I have successfully gained a comprehensive understanding of the opportunities and challenges in the healthcare system.  The skills that I have acquired in terms of resilience, advocacy, and effective communication will be put to good use in my Staff Governor role alongside supporting and collaborating with healthcare colleagues to find and implement solutions that lead to further improvements in  the overall quality of care.

I am proud to be from a BAME background and I use this privilege to actively champion diversity in the workplace and to positively inspire others on how to value the richness that a diverse range of professional experiences adds to the workplace.

The welfare of others is a personal motivation which I will use effectively to represent and advocate for colleagues, so that their views and voices are heard, listened to, and taken into consideration.
