Public Governor for Rest of Greater Manchester

As a newly appointed Public Governor for Greater Manchester, I aim to be the voice of the community in the vast NHS, by making sure people are given a chance to have their say, and to be given an opportunity to gain an understanding of how the NHS is made to work for the population of Greater Manchester.

I’d like to seek assurances from the non-executive directors and the board to ensure that the NHS is governed by people who care, by people who use common sense to make decisions that make the service better, that services are more user friendly and more efficient for the people who need it.

I’d like to utilise my role as governor, to push for more money, better services, and fairness to all and that the vast resources we receive now are used for the good of the NHS.
