Public Governor for Manchester Constituency

My experiences as a public health specialist, and a known community activist in Manchester alongside my vast clinical work in radiology, general surgery, trauma and orthopaedics, urology and cardiothoracic surgery at various UK hospitals will be put to good use as an MFT Trust Governor. A key area of focus for me is to support the Trust in improving health services and raising awareness of health inequalities in Manchester and the wider community.  

 As a Deputy Lieutenant of Greater Manchester County, the vast social/healthcare networks that I have built through my this and other key roles that I have held throughout my lifetime, I feel will compliment my role as a Trust Governor which I believe will help to initiate positive changes to health services.  

Elected: September 2023 (1st term)

Term of Office: 3 Years – Ending at 2026 Annual Members’ Meeting.
