Dr Khadija Ali
Staff Governor for Medical and Dental
As a newly elected Staff Governor for the Medical & Dental sector, I intend to focus on representing colleagues and the wider public to help shape the future of Manchester Foundation Trust.
Governors are a crucial link between MFT’s members and the communities we serve, ensuring their needs are understood and reflected in how services are delivered. Having worked closely with senior leadership as co-chair of the Resident Doctors’ Leadership Group at NMGH, where I led key initiatives and advocated effectively for frontline staff, I am well placed to fulfil this role.
Since joining the Trust as a doctor, I have helped establish MFT’s first BAME Doctors Network, and I remain committed to championing this group within Governor meetings and wider Trust forums.
As a Governor, I will engage actively with staff and public members, listen to their concerns, maintain open and honest communication, and ensure their voices meaningfully shape the future of MFT. I will be a transparent, accessible, and accountable representative.
