Dr Michael Kelly

Public Governor (Manchester)

Public Governor for Manchester Constituency

In 2013, I was fortunate enough to be cared for by the Cardiac Intensive Care Team at, the Manchester Royal Infirmary following a major cardiac arrest.  The wonderful lifesaving care and treatment received by  the paramedics, nurses, doctors, and other members of staff employed by MFT is the reason why I stood for election as an MFT Governor.

In my governor role, I want to give something back to both MFT and the wider population of Manchester, by supporting the Trust in its work to reduce health inequalities in Manchester.

The effective resouring of NHS services is a key focus of mine and I will seek appropriate assurances from Non-Executive Directors and champion the needs of the general public during Trust meetings.
