Results
Results will be reported electronically via HIVE for samples within the hospitals and ICE for community samples. External results can be reported electronically via NPEX (please contact adam.tonge@mft.nhs.uk (ORC) or nick.rolls@mft.nhs.uk (Wythenshawe) if you wish to set this up). Other external results will be on paper reports sent via post.
If you need to telephone for results for Oxford Road Campus, North Manchester or Trafford please call 0161 276 8766, Monday to Friday, 8am – 5:30pm. For results for Wythenshawe Hospital call 0161 291 2126.
External hospitals can also email mft.orc.bloodsciences.results@nhs.net if copies of reports are required.
Clinical advice
Clinical advice is available from the Duty Biochemist during normal working hours, not including Bank Holidays.

Outside of these hours, the On Call Consultant is available via switchboard for urgent queries that cannot wait until the next working day. Please ask for the on call Consultant for Paediatric or Adult Biochemistry as appropriate. The appropriate laboratory can also be contacted via switchboard for urgent operational queries.
