Nominated Governor for Local Authority Councils

Julie is currently a local Councillor  for Manchester City Council, her past competencies include, gaining tenure as a Public Governor for MFT and as a Public Governor for another Greater Manchester Trust.

Julie is currently responsible for overseeing Children’s health, safeguarding, Foster Care and Adoption (Looked After Children), and Education, in her role as Scrutiny Chair of Children and Young People’s Services for Manchester.

Julie has taught Access to Nursing courses and Health and Social Care over many years at a further education college and believes that her experience will complement MFT’s Council of Governors.
