Nominated Governor for Voluntary Sector

Term of Office: 3 Years – Ending at 2023 Annual/Special Members’ Meeting.

David’s working career started as a Laboratory Technician at the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital and the Manchester Royal Infirmary and he is now a retired Company Commercial Director during which time he was involved in the sales of hand tools and machinery, negotiating national contracts and was also involved in the management of company Quality Assurance and Health and Safety.

Since retiring David became a volunteer at MFT having served 8 years in this rewarding role he passionately enjoys making a difference to the patient experience. He is currently also the Chairman of the Senior Volunteer Group and also the volunteer coordinator at the Altrincham Hospital.

As a former School Governor, David feels that his wealth of experience will be beneficial to the Volunteer Service and wishes to support MFT’s Council of Governors to proactively represent the views and opinions of all Trust volunteers alongside the wider general public.
