Public Governor (Trafford)
Public Governor for Trafford Constituency
Term of Office: 3 Years – Ending at 2023 Annual/Special Members’ Meeting
I’ve been a Trafford resident for over 50 years, initially in Timperley and now living in Sale. Prior to my retirement I was employed at Wythenshawe Hospital for nearly 40 years as a Cardiac Technician and subsequently a founder member of the Cardio-Thoracic Transplant Team as Transplant Co-Ordinator and Researcher whilst also a member of the UK Transplant Cardiac Advisory Group.
During my former years as a Governor, I gained extensive experience including around membership development. I was also involved in assessing the processes followed, which led to the creation of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, under the Single Hospital Services programme.
I’m dedicated to the NHS and have a strong belief in the freedom to deliver a high quality, safe, caring service for everyone. I’m confident that I can add significant experience, value and full commitment to the new Trust, with my priority being to the residents of Trafford and the population of Manchester.
