Public Governor for Rest of Greater Manchester

During lockdown NHS staff were described as ‘heroes’, and I cannot personally think of a better accolade to use.  As a parent of a child who needed healthcare, the stoic bravery, professionalism and smiles of the staff who provided my son’s care, absolutely blew me away and inspired me to become a Public Governor.

I am a qualified solicitor, who works in private practice as a commercial litigator specialising in complex commercial disputes.  I am presently in-house counsel for a leading insurance company, as well as the principal of a nationally known litigation funding company, providing access to justice to those who otherwise would not have been able to afford to litigate.  I feel that the work experiences that I have gained, alongside my analytical and communication skills, will help me to carry out my Governor role and actively engage and contribute to the NHS.
