Staff Governor for Nursing and Midwifery

Term of Office: 3 Years – Ending at 2023 Annual/Special Members’ Meeting.

A nurse for more than 20 years, Priscilla currently works in the Diabetes, Endocrine and Metabolics Department at MRI. Prior to this, she worked on general wards, with roles as a research and smoking cessation nurse.

She joined the NHS in 2000 as an African nurse, and the experience and support she has gained at MFT have been invaluable. As a Governor, Priscilla would like to give something back to fellow nurses and help them to achieve their goals and aspirations and as a Staff Governor, feels it is important that nurses and midwives are encouraged to become the best they can be.

Priscilla is passionate about getting the voices of nursing and midwifery staff heard and representing her colleagues. More widely, she is keen to ensure people from all walks of life are effectively represented and able to participate in healthcare decision-making processes.
