I am a passionate supporter of the National Health Service, interested particularly in the quality of care and patient experience. As part of my Governor role, I actively seek assurances on behalf of members in these key patient areas alongside appropriately seeking assurance on the Trust’s performance. The academic and pioneering research being conducted at MFT which is transforming patients’ lives, is a key area that as a Governor I fully support.
Alongside my previous experience as an MFT Governor and skills gained from another Foundation Trust, I bring nearly 30 years of public service expertise to my Governor role. This includes membership of bodies representing public concerns and satisfaction, in addition to involvement on committees.
Experience and effective administrative skills have helped me to understand and seek appropriate assurances. In my Governor role, I continually champion good patient and customer care and encourage feedback to further improve upon the services provided.
