The faster, greener, and easier way to access your appointment details!
We will soon be moving to digital delivery for your outpatient appointment letters. This means that, in future you will receive most of your appointment details through a text message link or via the MyMFT patient app.
COMING SOON!
For more information on how Digital Delivery will work, please see the information below.
Here at MFT, we are committed to improving your entire healthcare journey – including how you receive your information.
That’s why we’re making the switch to digital delivery as our standard way of working. This means that in future you’ll receive information in more modern and convenient ways, such as by phone or email. This has lots of great benefits, such as speeding up delivery time, reducing paper use, and giving you even more access and control over your information.
Of course, we also recognise that some patients will prefer to stick with paper letters. Rest assured that these traditional communications are not being taken away and will be made available to any patients who prefer them.
MyMFT is the easiest way to receive your appointment letters, updates and reminders – just make sure your MyMFT notifications are turned on!
It has lots of other great benefits too, including:
- The ability to share your health record with other healthcare providers
- The option to attend video appointments
- The option to receive clinical letters, after-visit summaries, and test results directly in your app
- Proxy Access: Which allows carers or loved ones to access your information, if you need their support.
and many more – sign up today!
No problem! Once we go ‘Digital First’, you’ll just need to tell us that you’d like to stick with paper letters and we’ll help you update your preferences.
MyMFT users can also choose ‘Paper letters’ in the app’s ‘Communications Preference’ menu.
What if I miss one of these new messages? Don’t worry! If you don’t access your appointment details through MyMFT or text message within 48 hours we will send you a letter by post.
Following the switch, patients may continue to receive paper letters for the following reasons:
- Your care team or service is still making the switch to paperless messaging. Don’t worry – this is an ongoing process!
- Your service can’t switch to paperless messaging for important technical or safety reasons.
- You’ve asked to receive paper letters (see above).
- You haven’t opened our text or MyMFT app message for several days. A paper letter will be sent out as a reminder, making sure you don’t miss your appointment.
Did you know: Cutting out appointment letters could help us to save as many as 400 trees’ worth of paper every single year!
