The Board

Angela has varied Change, Transformation, Strategy and HR experience gained across different industries.

At present, she holds the role of Senior HR Operations Director at GXO and leads both BAU and multi-million pound transformation and technical change programmes. Angela has previously worked both in the public and private sector for well- known businesses such as Marks & Spencer, Money Supermarket Group, Pearson, Wolverhampton NHS Trust and Jaguar Land Rover. Angela is also a Non-Executive Governor with Salford University and Activate Learning.

She holds an MBA from Manchester Business School, an MA in HRM, a Post Graduate Diploma in HRM and is a Fellow of the CIPD.

Angela’s experience of losing loved ones through COVID-19 was a key motivation in wanting to join Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. One of her first part-time jobs, whilst studying in the city, was as a cleaner at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital and taking up the Non-Executive role in the city where she was born and bred is both an honour and privilege for her.
