Sheila Otty
Public Governor (Rest of England and Wales)
Public Governor for Rest of England and Wales
Until July 2018 I worked full-time as a senior IT manager, in a UK, European and global environment. I now have the time, desire and passion to serve on the MFT Council of Governors, using my tenacious, caring and pragmatic nature combined with my business and interpersonal skills to help further improve the Trust’s services.
My husband of 42 years and I have two grown-up daughters and two granddaughters. I have lived in both Lancashire and Cheshire and my family and I have benefited from the emergency, day and inpatient care of several of the hospitals now forming MFT.
My personal areas of interest are Ophthalmic and Paediatric and through the experiences of my daughter, I hope to help the Trust to consider how supportive care can be provided throughout all the hospital departments for those patients on the Autistic spectrum alongside patients with other communication problems.
Term of Office: 3 Years – Ending at 2024 Annual/Special Members’ Meeting
