Peter joined Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and University Hospitals South Manchester NHS Foundation Trust in 2016 to manage the merger of both organisations to form Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. He previously held a national position as the Director of Nursing for the Trust Development Authority and has experience of working at the Department of Health.
Peter undertook nurse training in Liverpool and North Wales before spending a significant period in clinical practice. He has held Executive Director roles for over 20 years in a variety of leadership positions including Chief Executive and Director of Operations. In addition, he held the Director of Nursing and Workforce position for the West Midlands Strategic Health Authority.
